Licensed asbestos removal contractors can be found in the Yellow Pages by searching under asbestos removal.

Some builders and other tradespeople can also be used to remove asbestos, however they must hold an asbestos removal licence.

To confirm whether a contractor, builder or tradesperson holds a licence, ask them for a copy of their licence, then contact Workplace Health and Safety Queensland with their licence number to verify their details.

It is recommended that you get more than one quote from licensed contractors so you can compare before going ahead with the work.
